The abstruse "he" that Wilson refers to is Lord Byron. This famed poet developed an unmistakable style that both praises and admonishes man. Byron was not a misanthrope, but he never forgot man's faults. Through his poetry, Byron developed his views and expanded them. In fact, Byron developed a hero; a hero that would not back down to a challenge, rather, a hero that would stand up courageously and fight for what was good and true. In "The Destruction of Sennacherib," Byron represents a hero who faces defeat. This poem serves as an example of Byron's unique style, philosophy, and ideals. The title of the poem, "The Destruction of Sennacherib," serves as a synopsis for the subject; the poem entails the death of Sennacherib. The first stanza describes the entrance of Sennacherib onto a battle scene. It is clear that he is a cunning military strategist as Byron describes him as a "wolf on the fold." Sennacherib and his "cohorts" are regal "in purple and gold." They seem to be a well-organized army with weapons and courage to spare. In the second stanza there is a foreshadowing of the end of Sennacherib with the reference to leaves being green in summer, but blown away in the autumn. Quickly, much like death in real life, the Angel of Death appears and breathes in the face of Sennacherib and his men. Their lifeless bodies appear waxen in their cold state, as their hearts "for ever grew still." As the poem continues, Byron points out that Sennacherib's pride is lost in death. The image of Sennacherib's last breath overlaps with one of waves crashing against a shore in lin es seventeen and eighteen. The fifth stanza ends great Sennacherib's life. In the last stanza the people of Assyria mourn the demise of their leader, and in effect, the demise of their civilization. All that was great of their nation "hath melted like snow in the glance of the Lord!" The poem is made up of six stanzas and twenty-four lines. The third line stands out for its alliteration, "and the sheen of the spears was like stars on the sea." From the beginning of the poem and throughout there are allusions to the ocean and beaches. Byron uses natural images to depict the scenes. In the second stanza, the alliterated phrase, "Like the leaves," is repeated, however, in line five the leaves are green in summer and in line seven, the leaves have been blown away in autumn. True to the Romantic Movement, the poem impresses the image of seasons changing as an analogy for life and death. The rhyme scheme is AABBCCDD and so on until the last stanza, in which Byron repeats the rhyme from the preceding stanza. This creates a shift from the death scene to the reaction of Sennacherib's people. In the last line, Byron introduces another shift with a new rhyme. This shift moves from the immediate response to the death of Sennacherib to the overall end of the Assyrian nation. It was almost as if the settlers in general and the writers in particular knew just how daunting a challenge their situation was, and how perilous their enterprise promised to be. Diagnosis of the learning experience Learning Characteristics: Heather is a 45 year-old female with no previous skills, ability, or experience in playing billiards. She is very motivated to learn new skills so she can become a part of an all female billiards team. Heather displays a less than average ability for playing billiards (motor timing, perceptual timing, and eye-hand coordination) due to slight anxiety and rushing things. Heather is mentally and physically fit to take part in the activity and expresses she has no known impairments, except a slight anxiety attack at times. Heather is very excited to learn skills such as speed-accuracy trade off in order to become the best player she can be. Cat Eye syndrome Cat eye syndrome is a rare chromosomal disorder that may be plain to see at birth. The name â€Å"cat eye syndrome† comes from a distinctive abnormality in the eye that is shown in some affected people. This feature consists of partial absence of ocular tissue often affecting both eyes. Affected ocular tissues may include the colored region, the middle layer, and/or the innermost membrane of the eye. Individuals with cat eye syndrome frequently have coloboma(s) (which is a structural defect of the eye), down slanting eyelid folds, widely spaced eyes and/or other ocular defects.Discovery and cause: This disorder was discovered in 1898. In individuals with cat eye syndrome, the short arm and a small region of the long arm of chromosome 22 are present three or four times rather than twice in cells of the body. Symptoms: * Partial absence of the tissue pertaining to the eye * Mild or moderate mental retardation * Cat-like, downward slanting opening * Malformations of the facial and the skull region * Eyes are widely spaced Inherited: As cat eye syndrome is an inherited genetic disorder, it occurs by birth.The defect can arise from either parent, as it can be transmitted through both sexes. The person is diagnosed considering the symptoms present in the body. Treatment: Treatment is given according to the severity of the symptoms. Patients with short stature are given  growth hormone therapy. Miscellaneous: A recent study suggests that cat eye syndrome affects 1 in about 74000 people, making this a pretty rare disorder. This chromosomal disorder can occur in both, males and females. In many cases, individuals are born with this syndrome because it is prevalent in their families.

Today we are launching a campaign called for HeForShe. I am reaching out to you because we need your help. We want to end gender inequality, and to do this, we need everyone involved. This is the first campaign of its kind at the UN. We want to try to mobilize as many men and boys as possible to be advocates for change. And, we don’t just want to talk about it. We want to try and make sure that it’s tangible. I was appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women six months ago. And, the more I spoke about feminism, the more I realized that fighting for women’s rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one thing I know for certain, it is that this has to stop. For the record, feminism by definition is the belief†¦show more content†¦Apparently, I’m among the ranks of women whose expressions are seen as too strong, too aggressive, isolating, and anti-men. Unattractive, even. Why has the word become such an uncomfortable one? I am from Britain, and I think it is right I am paid the same as my male counterparts. I think it is right that I should be able to make decisions about my own body. I think it is right that women be involved on my behalf in the policies and decisions that will affect my life. I think it is right that socially, I am afforded the same respect as men. But sadly, I can say that there is no one country in the world where all women can expect to see these rights. No country in the world can yet say that they achieved gender equality. These rights, I consider to be human rights, but I am one of the lucky ones. My life is a sheer privilege because my parents didn’t love me less because I was born a daughter. My school did not limit me because I was a girl. My mentors didn t assume that I would go less far because I might give birth to a child one day. These influences were the gender equality ambassadors that made me who I am today. They may not know it, but they are the inadvertent feminists that are changing the world today. We need more of those. And if you still hate the word, it is not the word that is important. It’s the idea and the ambition behind it, because not all women have received the same rights I have. In fact,
